*Did you know that you do not have to be at a bus stop to have the bus pick you up?
*GGFT offers a Flexible Flag-Down Service on all their designated bus routes. What does that mean? It means riders do not have to be standing at a specific bus sign or shelter to catch the bus!
To Use the Flag-Down Service:
1) Rider must be on the designated route and on the “door side” of the approaching bus.
2) From the sidewalk, wave your arm to signal the driver for a pick-up (much like hailing a city cab).
3) Our drivers are trained to look for “flag downs,” and will stop the bus in the nearest safe location to you.
4) Board the bus and enjoy the ride!
The same is true for disembarking the bus. Tell the driver when you would like to get off or pull the Stop Request (yellow cord) Signal. You do not have to get off at a specific shelter or bus stop sign.
