Community Based Peer Support and Learning

Collaboration and support for the Peers in the community. Whether it be Peer Advocates/coaches focusing on S.U.D. recovery or Peer Specialist with a focus on Mental Health and/or both.

All Community Peers welcomed and encouraged to partake in this monthly support group.

Topics to be determined by the group and based on the needs of the group. Will discuss peer Recovery values, guidelines and principles. Topics can include and are not limited to: barriers, trainings, self-care, client concerns based on origin/culture, overdose awareness, ethics, boundaries, burnout/fatigue.

This support group and collaboration between peers, will result in improved problem solving, more efficient work and creativity, knowledge sharing, happier workers, shared vision, encouraged risk taking, resources to help the clientele we serve, resulting in the best care for peer to peer interactions.

When: Tuesday July 27th  12:00-2:00pm

Where: Open Door Mission, 226 Warren Street Glens Falls NY

(with the option to connect via zoom)

Continuing meetings will be (are subject to change)

4th Tuesday of every month 12:00-1:30pm:
