the Cooling component will be opening through the HEAP program this coming Monday, May 3rd 2021. The Cooling component can assist with the purchase and initial installation of a window unit Air Conditioner to create a cooling room.
In order to be eligible for this benefit, the applicant must be eligible under the HEAP income guidelines and have a medical condition that is worsened by the heat.
The program is expected to operate through 8/31/21 or until funds are exhausted.
